Preschool Chats! Preschool Parent Question: what’s a great age to introduce money?

Hello hello another question another Great question from a parent this Question is about money when is a great Age to introduce the concept of money Now I believe my personal opinion is That three is a great age to start Introducing the concept of money now at Preschool explorers with my students we Actually do this through imaginative Play so we pretend we're cooking and at The restaurant or selling things in our Toy shop shop or at the bookstore and Their peers peers come over to their Shop they go over to their peer shop and We exchange items and we pay for it so They use their pretend money oh it's two Dollars one two they use their pretend Money to actually pay for the items that They selected so this is a great way to Start introducing the concept of money Because I really believe at this age Children are starting to pay attention When they go shopping with you now as They develop and get mature then of Course you can start introducing the Name of coins and bills but play is Always a great place to start

I was a teacher in the Philadelphia Public School System for over 20 years. I love teaching preschoolers and watching them progress from wide eyed blank slates to being able to read and write. The pride they enjoy from advancing their abilities and seeing their imagination grow is the greatest reward a teacher can receive.
